Buffalo Hide Tipi
Brain tanned leather is a soft and lofty leather. It is comfortable,
yet durable and breathable when worn next to the skin. This
leather is tanned using the same techniques Native Americans
have used for centuries. I specialize in the larger hides, although I
still tan deer.
Elk is soft and stretchy and is best used for clothing and bags.
Moose is denser and thicker and is best used for moccasins and
other projects requiring a thicker and durable leather. Buffalo does
not have the stretch of the elk or moose and works well for lodge
covers and bags.
